Taisier M.A. AliDirector

 

TAISIER ALI studied in the University of Khartoum and the University of Toronto, Canada.  He taught at the University of Khartoum from 1976 to 1992, and; from 1994 to 2001 he was visiting scholar of African Politics at the University of Toronto.  

Dr. Ali published widely on the political economy of underdevelopment, processes of domination, resistance and crisis of the state in Africa and on conflict resolution and peacebuilding in the Horn of Africa. His latest publications include, Civil Wars in Africa, Roots and Resolution (Montreal: McGill University Press, 1999); Durable Peace: The Challenges of Peacebuilding in Africa; (Toronto, University of Toronto Press, 2004) 

 

 

Eltigani Elhag  Abdelrahman

 

Director of Programs

 

Mr. Abdelrahman is a graduate of Omdurman Ahlia University.  He has engaged with variety of indigenous organizations of civil societies in Sudan and Eritrea. Mr. Abdelrahman has participated in numerous Conflict Resolution workshops and conferences. He also writes on problems of social changes and conflicts in Africa.

 

 

Elias Amare is a senior fellow at the PCHA. He is a writer, researcher, editor and journalist who has previously worked in various media outlets and publishing houses, both in Eritrea and the USA. Elias has lived and worked in the US for over 20 years and currently resides in Asmara, Eritrea.

 

 

 

 

Tighisti Gebrekidan, Born in Ethiopia and raised in Eritrea, she attended St. Mary’s Junior and Secondary schools in Asmara. During 2005/6, she studied and was awarded a diploma in accounting. She speaks Tigrinya, Amharic, Arabic and English.  Ms. Gebrekidan worked in the private sector as an executive secretary of a private trading company.
